Choosing a Venue for your Casino Night Party

There are several things to consider when planning your casino night. Many of the details will vary depending on the type of event you plan to host, but the basics outlined here will apply to just about any event. The first and most important thing to consider is how many people you expect to attend your casino party. The number of guests you invite will determine the size of the venue, the amount of food and drink you will need to provide, the number of casino tables you'll need, available seating, and parking. Directly related to the number of people in attendance is the type of venue you'll use to host your event.

Selcting your Casino Party Venue

The first thing to consider when selecting a venue for your party is whether it is large enough for the number of attendees you expect. Your home may be large enough for small gathering of close friends, but an event rental space, neighborhood clubhouse, or even a hotel ballroom may be more appropriate for larger events.

Hosting a Party at Home

The first thing to consider when selecting a venue for your party is whether it is large enough for the number of attendees you expect. Your home may be large enough for a party of 30 or 40 people if you can create enough open space by moving furniture or including your garage or backyard. Our House Party Package would be an excellent choice for this scenario. If you will be hosting in a larger home, you may have room for the additional table included with Party Package 1. Our casino tables can be set up on a covered patio or in garage leaving the indoor areas for dining and extra seating.

One advantage of hosting at home is that it can help lower the overall price of your event by saving on venue rental fees. It also provides a comfortable, familiar environment for both you and your guests. You have the ability to act as your own bartender and caterer which gives you more flexibility on the food/drink to serve and eliminating the cost of those services. The downside of hosting at home is the work involved in cleaning up and restoring your home to its pre-party condition.

Local Event Spaces

If you need more space than your home will allow, renting a local event space is a great option. We would include event centers, subdivision community centers, Knigts of Columbus halls, and country clubs. This type of venue can typically accommodate 50 - 100 party guests. This option is frequently chosen for events like fundraisers for non-profit organizations, company parties, wedding receptions, awards ceremonies, and Holiday parties. This type of venue can vary widely in price and service provided. Some will only provide the room with access to their kitchen facilities and tables and chairs. Others will provide complete room set up including table linens, centerpieces, catering, bartending, and wait staff. The cost for this venue type can range from about $100 to several hundred per hour. The larger amount of space available gives you the ability to choose a larger casino party package that includes a wider variety of games.

Large Event Venues

This type of venue is best for very large gatherings such as company holiday parties for large businesses, national non-profit organizations, conventions. If you expect upwards of 250 people at your event, this is the venue type you should be looking into. This class includes convention centers like the Woodlands Waterway Convention Center at the Woodlands, Margaritaville Lake Resort in Montgomery, Moody Gardens in Galveston, Ballrooms at larger hotels like the Westin at Memorial City, the Hyatt Regency and Hilton Americas in Downtown Houston, and similar.

In Summary

The venue you select is one of the most important things to consider for your event. Choosing well will have a large effect on the overall success of your party. A convenient location with ample parking can help increase attendance. Enough space with ample seating for your guests will keep your guests comfortable. Extras like on-site catering and bartending services, sound systems with microphones, and appropriate lighting controls will make your hosting duties easier and leave a positive impression on your guests and make for a memorable casino party experience.
